Another Video Render

After the file corrupting, computer crashing, etc., this is the progress I have made.

Which is not much at all.

Then the Inevitable Occurs

Basically, I screwed some of it up so I had to dig out an older file and go from there.

WOO SETBACK!

Something Else to Show for my Efforts

Here you go. This is the first rendering for the project. It is not completed, OBVIOUSLY.

It has got the stepped animation with some facial/mouth animation added in random. I am so sorry for the creepy face she has got for most of the render.

Product of my Efforts

And after what felt like FOREVER, I finally have something to show for all my hard work. Let it be known that I can do animation.

Deplorable to the Core

Everything was working together beautifully. I had figured out how to get the audio to work, I had completed all the basic body animations of the red-head (who is now a girl because of her hair), and I was working on spacing the frames out so that they matched up to the audio. And then I got this little bundle of hate.

Not once, not twice, but three times I have gotten this package from Max. It is really very irritating.

The Animating of Something Deplorable

10:45 am

And so begins the animating process to match this creepy red-head to the Who in the video.

I am having difficulties figuring out frame spacing and whatnot.

Of course, Max crashing repeatedly isn't helping the cause.

Neither is the fact that I cannot figure out how to get the audio track to work. Hmph.

Oooooo a screenshot of a screenshot. Totally did not mean for that to happen, but it did.

12:30 pm

I am still having problems with getting the audio to work, but I can worry about that later. Right now, I am just thrilled to be almost done with the body animations of the red-head. I only have one more frame to do.

At this point in the original animation, the Mayor's feet cannot be seen, so I set up a camera so that my scene would look similar to the original.

 1:00 pm

The last -gulp- melon frame!

The Start of Something Deplorable

Er - adorable. I meant the start of something adorable. Yup. Totally what I meant. >.>

Okay so basically what I have to do is take a snippet (that's a fun word) of the above video and animate my own guy to do what the voice actor guy (who reminds me of one of my friends but that's a totally different story) does. Oh and the models too. I guess that would be good if my models lined up somewhat with the models that were actually used in the movie. RABBIT TRAILS!

I'd use Shubert Williams, but he has no mouth -sad face- and no eyes -uber sad face- so he's an immediate NO. -sad-

Chinese Fireball, OOOOOOO.

The Chinese Fireball, OOOOOOO.

I want to animate that, only so I can listen to Mr. Crouch say "The Chinese Fireball, Oooooo" over and over and over again.

Anyways, the snippet (fun!) that I'm using the 15 seconds between 1:41 and 1:56. Hooray!

Principle Number Four || Pose to Pose and Straight Ahead

Sliding through a door like Indiana Jones.

A creature leaping onto a rock. This is beautiful.

And irritating.

Principle Number Nine || Timing and Spacing

Principle Number Six || Slow In and Slow Out

Easing in and out of taking a step. Had to make sure Shubert Williams didn't look robotic or anything. He thinks he's real. Poor creature.

Poor Wolfie. BOOM. Shot.

Curve editors. Why. Why would someone do that?!

Falling, falling, falling, down.

Look at the little curve editor. I hate this one also.

Careful, this alien might piddle.
